Report a Bug

If you find a bug while playing Salt, we would love to hear about it so that we can work to get it fixed. 

Please email us at bugreport@saltthegame.com and tell us about the bug that you encountered.

 

Optional Log Files to Include

Along with your account of the bug or error that occurred, it is often helpful for us to have some of the error log files generated by the game. There are two such files:

  1. ErrorLog.txt can be found under the BugReportFiles folder within your Salt installation directory. This is a custom log file made by us. It will contain data about where you were in the world, the seed you were playing on, and also some information on errors that occurred.
  2. ouput_log.txt can be found at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Lavaboots\Salt\output_log.txt. This file is generated by Unity (the engine that Salt is built within) and contains some more detailed data about what was going on during your last play session. This file gets overwritten each time you quit the game entirely and restart, so it is most useful if you send this immediately after the bug occurs, before you restart the game.
